Henderson County participates in the Beaver Management Assistance Program (BMAP) that is operated through the US Department of Agriculture and the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. This program is a cost sharing program. Henderson County's participation in the program allows residents to receive the services of the USDA's Wildlife Specialists at a low cost.
