General Information


FOR DOGS – 2014

     Clinic to be conducted by Henderson County Veterinarians during the week of May 5, 2014 through May 10, 2014.  The clinic will be held at the Veterinarian’s offices BY APPOINTMENT ONLY for a reduced fee of only $8.00 per cat.

     State Law and County Ordinances requires all cats four months of age and older to have a current vaccine.

Henderson County Animal Services has two dog trainers who generously donate their time for our programs. Our goal is to maximize the potential of a dog and their owner as well as providing a resource for owners who are experiencing problems.  Many dogs are turned into the shelter for issues that can be easily fixed and we can provide help. Please explore the following links to find the right program for you.

The Henderson County Animal Services Center is located at 828 Stoney Mountain Road and is adjacent to the county landfill / transfer station.

Essential Departmental Functions: Animal Services provides shelter for adoptable and stray animals and reunites lost pets with their owners. The department keeps records of rabies cases and encourages responsible pet ownership through microchipping and anti-cruelty measures..
